English:
1- Say: He, Allah, is One,
2- Allah, the only one who can help,
3- He has no child, nor was born from a parent,
4- And there is nothing comparable to Him.
Chapter Notes:
Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was asked to describe God. This chapter was revealed in response.
Surah Ikhlas is a very important Surah because it proclaims the Oneness of Allah. This concept is presented in the first ayat.
The second ayat declares that Allah is Eternal, i.e., He is beyond the bounds of time and space.
The third ayat describes that Allah does not give birth nor He is given birth. No child, no daughter, no son no parents.
The fourth ayat declares that Allah is beyond comparison.
This Surah is especially good for calling others to Islam. No matter what level of Islamic knowledge you have, you can refer to Surah Ikhlaas to inform people about Islam.
So, if someone asks you: “Who is Allah? What do you Muslims believe in?”
You can simply read this surah “Say: Allah, is One. He is the only one who can help. He has no child, nor was born from a parent. And there is nothing comparable to Him.”
And you’ll be 100% correct.
